In this tour you’ll experience our regenerative, Alaskan homestead with our lovely REINDEER and other livestock, boisterous livestock guardian dogs, and historic community cabin.
You’ll likely be greeted at your vehicle by our livestock guardian dogs, Zeke and Hugo, who will be happy to escort you to the cabin to start the tour, in exchange for a some pets and snuggles.
There’ll be a short introduction to the history of our property and the story of how we got here. We’ll then head outside to meet our incredible reindeer before we wind through our beautiful homestead and private nature trails, learning all about sustainable food production and foraging in this unique ecosystem dubbed the boreal forest. We’ll also take a gander through our forest gardens of cultivated varieties of plant species.
We’ll conclude our tour back in the cabin where we’ll nibble on a few of our favorite homesteading snacks and perhaps an herbal tea made from one of the plants we just learned about on the homestead.
